This is where we Focus in On The News through the Lens of Scripture! 1 Thessalonians 5:21 But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; Examine is taken from the Greek word: Dokimazo which means: to test, examine, prove, scrutinise (to see whether a thing is genuine or not), as metals to recognise as genuine after examination, to approve, deem worthy

1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
OK...a little out of context...but it makes my point...OH MY MY MY!
ARE YOU SERIOUS???? WOW!
Kids are cute...and they do the darndest things...
And they simply copy what they see...that's what they do...
I've known of this before from another Charismatic mother who just loved her son to mimick who he saw on TV all the time...Benny Hinn...
I'm not surprised the audience gets a kick out of a kid being cutesy, crazy, mimicking whats he's seen or whatever...
But a church service is definitely NOT the place for such a thing, ever! It's not time to be cute and admire what a baby can do. It's time to worship God.
That the man in the suit (a pastor?) would encourage this is reprehensible and sad...as is the audience eating it up...especially ones attributing glory to God for this...possibly supposing that this toddler's rant is of God!
It's great that they're giving glory to God...but this is not the right reason. If they want to give glory to God for how a toddler can be so...cute...then let them do it at home. But at least God is ascribed glory...and I base this last thought somewhat on:
Philippians 1:15-18 Paul had a "large heart"...when there were those who were preaching Jesus for the wrong reasons...Paul rejoiced that, hey, they were...preaching Christ!!
Oh, and for the record, I personally don't find this toddler's tantrum of sorts to be cute or cutesy, but kinda creepy.
