New Hope Church Abilene TX

It looks like New Hope Church in Abilene, TX is continuing to show a lack of spiritual discernment. Before we look at an upcoming event that New Hope is hosting lets look back in time.

Ignite 2009
Igniting the Flame of Revival Through Prayer
January 2 @ 7 pm
January 3 @ 10 am, 2 pm, and 7 pm
Wesley & Stacey Campbell are founders of Revival Now! Ministries and 'Praying the Bible International', and a mercy organization for children at risk called 'Be A Hero' (www.beahero.org). They are producers of the "Praying the Bible" CDs and co-authors of several Praying the Bible books.

New Hope brought this woman to Abilene:

I wonder if there was a meeting to talk about who they should bring to Abilene? Did they ask, can we find a woman who hisses like a snake as she gives words that are supposedly from God?

I posted a long article about Stacy Campbell. You can read it at this link: IS NEW HOPE CHURCH DECEIVED?

Today as I was at church preparing to preach, a member of my church handed me a flyer that someone had gave them yesterday while they were at a store.

It now appears that New Hope is bringing people who are associated with the Ministry of this man:

Rodney Howard Browne!

Year after year this man makes claims and promises:

Still waiting for that revival!

How can one watch and follow this movement and not see that it is certainly not from the God of the Bible??!! This guy is making a mockery of Christianity!! With so many outside attacks on the Bible and Christianity as a whole, do we really need the assault from the inside too? Wake up people! I do pray that this post will reach the people from New Hope and help them to see the danger of supporting this guy.

Why do you not make comments on Pastor Farina'a sermons? Rather you comment on others that are linked to this pastor? Is it because he is preching truth but you just don't like his friends/preachers he listens to? Talk about mocking God....

We don't support Rodney....just goes to show how vicious lies really do hurt the body of Christ. Did you get God's approval to post this commentary? Did He move on you to spread such rumors? New Hope is a fairly large church. I see that not many people from our church have responded to your opinion. And that basically is all it is, your opinion. Get your facts straight next time and not from just the internet. Why don't you do the biblical thing and talk to the man you have ought against.

If I could share just a few thoughts with you I would greatly appreciated it.

Charity(agape love) suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil. 1 Corinthians 13:4-5
In First Corinthians 13:5, Paul continues his message about the agape love of God. The seventh characteristic he gives us is that this high-level love "...seeketh not her own..."
The word "seeketh" is the Greek word zeteo, which means to seek. However, it was also used to depict a person who is upset about not getting what he wanted that he turns to the court system to sue or to demand what he is striving to obtain. Instead of taking no for an answer, this person is so intent on getting his own way that he will search, seek, and investigate, never giving up in his pursuit to get what he wants. In fact, he's so bent on getting his way that he'll twist the facts; look foe loopholes; put words in other people's mouths; try to hold others accountable for promises they never made; leap on administrative mistakes as opportunities to twist someone's arm; or seek various other methods to turn situations to his benefit. This is manipulation.
The point Paul makes here is that love is not scheming or manipulating, for this kind of behavior is dishonest and untruthful (I'm sure you've never talked to Chuck Farina about your concerns). Scheming and manipulating to get your own way is simply wrong. Speaking half-truths and white lies or operating according to a secret agenda is not the way that agape love behaves.
The Greek words in this text
could be understood to mean:
"...Love does not manipulate situations or scheme and devise methods that will twist situations to its own advantage..."

What Greek Lexicon did you find the above information? In fact can you show me one place in the New Testament where that greek word is used that way? Can you show me one place in the Septuagint where it is used that way?

Thank you
