SATURDAY EVENING THOUGHTS

I am working on my sermon for tomorrow, the text is 1 Corinthians 6:9-11

It reads:

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Do you see that list of sins in verse 9-10. Are you convicted like I am when I read that? Is there any of use who are not guilty of some of those sins either by deed or thought? It is only by God's grace that I have been saved and forgiven not becasue of anything I could do! Do you not find yourself still struggling even though you are now a christian? Do you ever struggle with guilt? As I was thinking about all of thse things the song East to West was playing on my CD player. The song is by Casting Crowns.
