RICK JOYNER INFORMATION

We are continuing our research on Rick Joyner who will be speaking at Beltway Park Baptist Church in Abilene, TX.

As I have already stated in a previous post I believe every one should be cautious about Rick Joyner. He claims to give divinely revealed prophecy and it has been documented that he has been wrong many times.

As I was searching for information about Rick Joyner I came across a video.

I want to point a few things about about the video.

You have Rick Joyner who hears from God agreeing to be on the Jim Bakker TV show! Does anyone find that to be a contradiction?

You would think a man who is hearing from God would not go onto the Jim Bakker show!
Consider a few things about Jim Bakker:

James Orsen Bakker (born January 2, 1939, in Muskegon, Michigan) is an American televangelist, a former Assemblies of God minister, and a former host (with his then-wife Tammy Faye Bakker) of The PTL Club, a popular evangelical Christian television program. A sex scandal led to his resignation from the ministry. Subsequent revelations of accounting fraud brought about his imprisonment and divorce and effectively ended his time in the larger public eye.

In spite of that he gets remarried!

In January 2003, Bakker began broadcasting the daily Jim Bakker Show at Studio City Cafe in Branson, Missouri, with his second wife, Lori Bakker. It is carried on the DISH and DirecTV satellite networks and the CTN cable network.

What is the biblical grounds for him to remarry? There are none

What is the biblical grounds for him to be in any kind of ministry after the shame he brought upon the name of Christ? There is none!

Yet Rick Joyner a supposed prophet of God comes on the show not to rebuke Jim Bakker but to sit and chat as if everything is OK!

The Jim Bakker TV show website includes links to ministries that they support. One jumped out at me when I saw it:

Jay Bakker

Jamie Charles (Jay) Bakker (December 18, 1975) is an American Christian pastor and the son of Jim Bakker and Tammy Fay Bakker Messner. He ministers to Revolution Church, a church he founded in 1994 in Phoenix, Arizona with Kelli Miller and Mike Wall.[1] Jay preaches at the New York City branch of Revolution Church located at Pete's Candy Store, 709 Lorimer St., Brooklyn, New York. Pete's Candy Store is a nightclub that features live music at night. Jay is separated with his wife, Amanda Bakker who works with children with AIDS in Africa.

Because his philosophy of inclusiveness extends to gays and gay marriage, Bakker falls outside of the beliefs of many in the conservative Christian community. When Larry King asked him if he was "part of the liberal sect of Christianity," he said that he was "more liberal than most" . [3] He also decries the influence of politics in religion, saying that it prevents civil discussion of topics such as homosexuality and abortion.

I am no prophet, God does not speak to me outside of the bible and yet I could find all this information in a few hours. Rick Joyner claims to give divine prophecies and that God speaks to him. Why has Rick Joyner not rebuked the Bakkers for their clear violation of the word of God?
Rick Joyner is not a prophet of God!

As you watch please take note of all the claims that are made. I challenge you to research everything that is claimed and see what you find. He speaks of history, I challenge you to study and see if he is correct. Please let me know what you find and I would love to just read your thoughts about the video. Is Jay separated from Amanda in the sense that a divorce could be coming, or are they just separated by location since she is in Africa? I just finished his book, and I'm simply curious. His love for her was very apparent in his book.

Rick Joyner may or may not be a prophet, but you, sir, are a judgmental @$$hole.

Anonymous...wow! What a cute way to curse...great Christian testimony (I assume you call yourself a Christian). And so brave too being "anonymous!" Instead of acting like an unbeliever, why don't you post something actually intelligent, mature and that lays out the facts as to what was wrong and "judgmental" about the post.

Grow up junior!

I have no interest in this Rick Joyner person, and Jim Bakker is clearly flawed but was arguably t least somewhat set up to fail by other Christian leaders (once again killing their own wounded). However, Jay Bakker gets it. He's a good man and is possibly the most down to earth, well-intended, inclusive minister on the national scene today. Just because he doesn't want to convert gay people doesn't make him radical. It makes him realistic and caring.

Now that Tammy Faye's croaked, Jim's remarriage will not send him to hell.

Why is the writer questioning Jim Bakker's right to remarry. Since, he had been divorced to Tammy Faye and the latter in fact had remarried, Jim Bakker would have every reason in the world to start a new life with a new wife. Yes, I agree that the writer is judgmental and a hypocrite at that.

Since no one else will answer, Jay Bakker is divorced from Amanda, yes, and has remarried. Not super easy to find online, and I have no idea what she is doing now. His current wife is listed with him on everything after 2013, IIRC.
